Salahdine Parnasse Uncertain if Max Holloway Will Accept Fight After UFC Paris Win: 'I'm Ready for Anyone'
Salahdine Parnasse harbors doubts about whether Max Holloway will accept his challenge following Parnasse's victory at UFC Paris.
Parnasse marked his UFC debut by headlining UFC Paris on Saturday, securing a first-round technical knockout against Dan Hooker. After a stellar performance, he expressed his desire to fight Holloway but is unsure if the challenge will be met, recognizing the significant challenge he presents to the Hawaiian fighter.
"I truly believe I am ready. I have dedicated my life to training since the age of 11 for this moment. I am very prepared. In KSW, I had three fights before competing for the belt, facing highly recognized names in KSW and engaging in excellent bouts. Regarding the UFC, I am uncertain of what lies ahead, but I have publicly called out Max Holloway. I sincerely hope he will accept," Parnasse stated to Ariel Helwani.
A matchup between Parnasse and Holloway holds considerable appeal, as the victor could potentially earn a title shot. However, the question remains whether Holloway would opt to face Parnasse, who is not as widely known as some other prominent contenders.
Salahdine Parnasse Open to Fighting Any Opponent After UFC Paris
Despite Parnasse's callout of Holloway after his win, he emphasized his willingness to take on any opponent.
Parnasse acknowledges that some top contenders might be hesitant to face him, and he is prepared to fight anyone to demonstrate his capabilities.
"Just look at my face. It's clear. I'm ready for tomorrow," Parnasse added. "Fighting Max Holloway would be the ideal scenario. He thrives on challenges, and I believe we could deliver an exciting war. I hold Max in high regard and do not engage in trash talk; that is not my style. I am prepared to face any fighter within the top five."
Parnasse boasts a professional record of 24 wins and 2 losses, with his most recent victory being against Hooker. He is a former KSW featherweight and lightweight champion.
