Henry Cejudo Targets "Dean The Great" Shabazz After Misfits Boxing Win
Henry Cejudo still wants to fight Nurideen “Dean The Great” Shabazz.
An injury kept Shabazz off the Misfits Boxing card last Saturday, where Cejudo was scheduled to face him. Instead, Cejudo fought Javon Walton in Miami, winning by split decision. Tony Ferguson also competed on the same event, retaining his middleweight title.
Cejudo told “Fred Talks Fighting” he is still aiming for a match with Shabazz, accusing him of avoiding the fight.
“First and foremost, I think Deen ‘The Duck’ owes me a f*cking fight,” Cejudo stated. “That’s what he does, and it’s time for me to put that duck to sleep. You guys have to stop calling him ‘Deen The Great,’ it’s ‘Deen The B*tch.’ Why don’t we call him that? He needs to show up, and we have to throw down because that was the original plan. If he can’t do that, then just stream; don’t talk your sh*t. You’re not a boxer then. If you’re not willing to fight, then just stream and have fun kissing your boyfriend Adrien ‘Boner’ (Adrien Broner).”
Since leaving professional MMA, Cejudo has returned to freestyle wrestling under the RAF banner and has participated in influencer boxing matches. The former two-division UFC champion is active and hopes to fight “Deen The Great” soon.
Shabazz lost a unanimous decision to Amado Vargas in a boxing match late in 2025. It is unclear if he will pursue a fight with Cejudo again.
