Dana White, head of Zuffa Boxing, stated he did not bar Oscar De La Hoya from attending the recent boxing event where Ryan Garcia defeated Conor Benn.

Garcia, who fights under De La Hoya’s Golden Boy Promotions, secured a second-round knockout against Benn. The fight was promoted by Zuffa Boxing, with White heavily involved in its promotion. Speculation arose regarding De La Hoya's presence at the event, with boxing reporter Dan Rafael reporting on X that De La Hoya was denied credentials.

Addressing these reports, White told reporters he never prevented De La Hoya from attending Garcia's victory. "I heard there’s some rumblings," White said. "Let me explain something to you: I do not like De La Hoya and De La Hoya does not like me. I would never disrespect him and say, ‘Oh, he shows up here and we treat him like shit.’ I would call him on the phone and say, ‘Hey, don’t f*cking show up to this event because we’re not going to treat you well.’ That was not the case. Why he didn’t show up, I don’t know."

White and De La Hoya have a history of public disagreements, which have intensified since White entered the boxing promotion arena. Some believe De La Hoya may be pleased with his fighter's decisive win over a Zuffa Boxing acquisition. Garcia is now positioned for a potential title unification bout with Teofimo Lopez.
