OKTAGON 93: Jonas Mågård Submits Radek Roušal in Event of Finishes
OKTAGON made its final visit to Brno’s Winning Group Arena on September 12th. The promotion concluded its time at the venue with a memorable night, featuring five finishes on the main card and numerous other stoppages.
In the featherweight main event, Jonas Mågård (20-7) stopped Radek Roušal's (7-3) advance with a third-round submission. Roušal initially defended Mågård's takedown attempts effectively, but the pressure from Mågård proved too much. Mågård secured a guillotine choke, marking a successful move up a weight class for the Danish fighter. His outspoken personality and skill suggest many engaging fights ahead in both bantamweight and featherweight divisions.
Kennedy Rayomba (8-6) upset local favorite Andrej Kalašnik (13-7) via unanimous decision in the middleweight co-main event, securing his first organization win. However, Vladimír Lengál (10-6) gave the home crowd a victory, knocking out Maurice Adorf (6-5) in the first round of their lightweight bout.
The night also showcased two exciting ‘STAND and BANG’ matchups. BKFC fighter Josef Hála landed powerful body shots to defeat Radovan Úškrt in his second OKTAGON fight. Robin Fošum delivered a decisive one-punch knockout against Dustin Rabiega.
Other notable results include stoppage victories for Daniel Ligocki (6-3) and Robert Lau (12-3). Jakub Dohnal (13-7) surprised Vojto Barborík (16-5) with a spinning kick knockout. Niamh Kinehan (3-0) finished Alana Cook (6-3) in the second round of their bantamweight contest and called out Alina Dalaslan.
