Spain Unveils 2026 World Cup Away Kit and Confirms International Friendlies
The Spanish national football team is diligently preparing for the upcoming 2026 World Cup. After releasing their home kit in November, the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) recently unveiled the official Adidas-designed away jersey, a striking white edition.
While their home shirt features a vintage aesthetic reminiscent of 1990s designs, the new away kit is predominantly white with red accents. Its distinctive front pattern, reportedly inspired by classical Spanish manuscripts and books, aims to connect with Spain's rich heritage, a detail also emphasized by Adidas.
Spain Confirms Second Friendly Match Against Egypt
Following the cancellation of La Finalissima in Qatar due to venue disagreements between RFEF and the Argentine Football Association (AFA), Spain was compelled to reorganize its preparatory match schedule. Coach Luis de la Fuente, who is soon to announce his final squad, has confirmed their first friendly against Serbia on March 27th at La Ceramica in Vila-Real.
Despite initial uncertainty regarding their post-Finalissima opponent, RFEF has now officially confirmed a second friendly against Egypt for March 31st, which will take place at Espanyol's RCDE Stadium.
Spain's Full World Cup Preparation Schedule
Before the tournament kicks off in the United States, Canada, and Mexico, Spain has scheduled two more crucial friendly matches. Their send-off game will be against Iraq on June 4th at Riazor in Galicia. Four days later, on June 8th, they will face Peru in Puebla, Mexico. This provides them with an eight-day window before their first group stage fixture against Cape Verde. After the match against Peru, the squad will travel to their tournament base in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
