However, de la Fuente suggested that due to intense competition in Spain's midfield, Pitarch would likely remain with the U21 squad for the foreseeable future.

Morocco had reportedly hoped to leverage Spain's deep midfield talent pool to persuade Pitarch to switch allegiances, but it seems their efforts have not yet succeeded. Nevertheless, the door may not be entirely closed. Should senior call-ups to the Spanish national team continue to elude the young Real Madrid midfielder, Morocco could find renewed opportunities to press for his international commitment.
