Barcelona manager Hansi Flick has revealed his tactical preparations for the upcoming Champions League return leg against Newcastle United, specifically focusing on how to overcome their aggressive pressing strategy. "They pressed high up the pitch and defended very well in the final third. It will be a tough game. They are physically strong and quick in transition. We have to play a perfect game, and that's what we’ll try to do," Flick stated, highlighting the challenges his team faced.

When questioned about his optimism regarding Barcelona's chances of winning the Champions League this season, the Blaugrana manager maintained a cautious yet positive outlook.

"This is football and many things can change. We have to be positive because there’s great quality in the squad. We’ll see if we’re capable of winning the Champions League, but we have to improve," Flick remarked, emphasizing the need for continuous development despite the talent available.

Dani Olmo as a Potential False Nine Solution

A significant concern for Barcelona in recent weeks has been the lack of consistent goal contributions from the number nine position, with both Robert Lewandowski and Ferran Torres experiencing a dip in form. Flick was asked whether Dani Olmo could offer a solution as a false nine.

"It could be an option. In matches like these, all the players are motivated. We need Ferran and Lewy at their best until the end of the season to achieve our goals. It’s crucial for us," Flick responded. While acknowledging Olmo's versatility and previous success in the role (including a hat-trick last season), Flick underscored the importance of his primary strikers regaining their top form to meet the team's objectives.
