Josh Fremd Discusses PFL Win, UFC Release, and Upcoming BKFC Debut
MMA fighter Josh Fremd (12-6) recently shared his thoughts on his dominant third-round TKO victory over Jarrah Hussein Al-Silawi (21-7) at PFL Pittsburgh on March 28th. During the discussion, Fremd also opened up about his departure from the UFC and confirmed his highly anticipated bare-knuckle boxing debut with BKFC, scheduled for the coming weeks.
Fremd provided further details on his immediate fighting plans, stating: “I’m cleared, I think it’s like a seven-day thing to let these stitches heal up. I signed it and PFL is letting me honor it. Before the PFL came along, I was signed to BKFC. Obviously PFL is my goal, MMA is a goal. I was a Golden Gloves boxer, and I want to give myself a test in this. I got a teammate on this card Chris Camozzi, who I like very much. It would be an honor to share the card with him.” This confirms Fremd’s intention to compete in bare-knuckle boxing soon, while reiterating his long-term commitment to MMA under the PFL banner.
